PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data processing method which prevents the decrease in printing speed, and the generation of unintended charging caused by composition of an original image with an additional image even when the original image and the additional image are made into a piece of print data.SOLUTION: A print data processing method includes: a step (a) of transmitting combined print data which is composed by combining print data of an original image with print data of an additional image added thereto, and in which the color setting of the print data of the additional image is made according to an additional image feature color convertible to both an alternate color of an achromatic color and an alternate color of a chromatic color; a step (b) of receiving the combined print data transmitted; a step (c) of determining that the combined print data received is either achromatic or chromatic on the basis of the color setting of the print data of the original image; and a step (d) of, when the combined print data is determined to be achromatic, converting the additional image feature color constituting the color setting of the additional image to an alternate color of an achromatic color, and when the combined print data is determined to be chromatic, converting the additional image feature color to an alternate color of a chromatic color. |
