<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder having low-cost, highly-reliable shredded-paper-detecting means that is unlikely to be affected by paper powder during shredding.SOLUTION: Each time the start switch of a shredder is turned on, pulse light is emitted from the light emitting part of a shredded paper detection sensor. An analog voltage output from a light receiving part according to the intensity of received pulse light is output to a CPU. A control section has correcting means for making a correction up to an analog voltage value for factory shipment, stored in the CPU in advance. Therefore, even if the analog voltage output from the light receiving part decreases due to, for example, adhesion of shredded paper powder to the light emitting part and light receiving part, erroneous determination by the shredded paper detection sensor is unlikely to occur.</p> |
