PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling imparting method of a novel structure which is free from the problem of toxicity, can exhibit antifouling effect with less blending amounts, and can maintain antifouling effect for a long term. ! SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of imparting antifouling property to polymer, wherein natural radioactive substance powder, with non-magnetized or demagnetized ferromagnetic powder, is added to polymer such as a coating, they are mixed and dispersed to impart antifouling property to the general-purpose coating, the coating is applied to the bottom of a ship or the like to be cured, and then subjected to magnetization treatment.
