Use of a coating comprising between 50 and 90 % alumina (AI2O3) by weight and an oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide (TiO2), chromium oxide (Cr2O3) and a mixture of these two, as a self lubricating coating for use at high temperature of a rotor in a foil bearing.
