This method for producing a glass plate is provided with: a carry-in step for carrying in a heated glass plate into a molding device; a first molding step for molding the glass plate in the state of at least a portion of the margin of the top surface and/or bottom surface of the glass plate being open; a separation step for separating at least the region molded in the first molding step of the glass plate from molds; a second molding step for molding a region containing at least a portion of the margin of the glass plate; and a carryout step for carrying the glass plate that has been subjected to the second molding step out of the molding device.
