<p>According to the present invention, a method to prevent thermal damage to a dosing module comprises the steps of: calculating an amount of cooling of cooling water required to prevent thermal damage to a dosing module (5) to spray urea; calculating the cooling amount of an engine cooling water which varies in accordance to an operation of a clutch water pump (20); and stopping the operation of the clutch water pump (20) by turning off the same if the clutch water pump (20) operates under a condition of the amount of cooling of the required cooling water being greater than the amount of cooling of the engine cooling water. Therefore, danger of thermal damage to the dosing module (5) caused by a lack of the amount of the engine cooling water is prevented and, more specifically, deterioration in the improvement of fuel efficiency is minimized by adjusting a flow rate of the engine cooling water via the clutch water pump (20) as the clutch water pump (20) is turned off at a temperature of the dosing module (5) estimated in an engine state being operated.</p> |
