<p>Abtract The present invention relates to an umbilical cord tie for closing off an open end of a cut umbilical cord. The tie includes an elastic loop adapted in use to wrap around the cut umbilical cord near the open end. The elastic loop is configured in use to 5 compress a substantial length of the cut umbilical cord so as to reduce the likelihood of the elastic loop slipping off the open end of the cut embilical cord.</p> |
