PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a noise component from an image signal without limited by a specific frequency band. ! SOLUTION: An image reading device 10 comprises a reading unit 12, a converter 53, and an ASIC 40. The ASIC 40 comprises a first converter 43, a second converter 44, and a CPU 41. The first converter 43 converts an analog image signal output from a light-receiving unit 22 of the reading unit 12 to a digital image signal. The second converter 44 converts a voltage value of power output from the converter 53 to digital data at the same timing as the timing at which the digital image signal is converted. The CPU 41 can remove a noise component generated due to fluctuation of the voltage value of power output from the converter 53 from the digital image signal by correcting the digital image signal using a conversion ratio calculated from the digital data converted at the same timing. !
