PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method that are adaptive to a plurality of observation light sources through the minimum number of times of color conversion, and enable an image recorded through the color conversion to be observed as an image of high picture quality in the presence of the respective observation light sources. ! SOLUTION: A color conversion table having minimum light source dependency is selected (S14). Color conversion is performed using the selected color conversion table so as to generate image data for a plurality of pieces of printed matter corresponding to the plurality of observation light sources.
