<p>A modular switch is described, of the type including a main module that can be used on its own as a single-phase switch, and one or more complementary modules (22) enabling use as a two-phase switch, a three-phase switch, and so on. The main module or switch (1) comprises a main supporting element (4) holding a series of static contacts (8), each adjacent pair of static contacts (8) being short-circuited by a mobile contact (7), said mobile contact (7) being held by a main, rotatable shaft (21) arranged inside said main supporting element, in which the main shaft (21) is driven in rotation by a handle (13) attached to a first extremity of said main shaft. Furthermore, a protective cap (17) is attached to said handle (13) both to protect the switch and to indicate the position of the switch using numbers marked on the perimeter of same, the protective cap being attached to the actuating handle (13) by means of a cap fastener (18) that can be blocked using a padlock (19) or a seal (20). The complementary modules (22) comprise an auxiliary supporting element (25) containing an auxiliary shaft (24) that has a first extremity intended to couple and a second extremity intended to be coupled by a main shaft (4) or an auxiliary shaft (24) such that the rotational movement applied to the handle (13) is transmitted mechanically to all of the coaxially coupled shafts (4, 24). The auxiliary supporting element (25) and the main supporting element (4) have coupling projections (27) for one or more module fasteners (23), each of said module fasteners (23) being bar-shaped and having apertures that are penetrated by the respective coupling projections (27).</p> |
