The invention relates to a universal retainer (1) which is designed for securing in an adapter (3), comprises at least one receiving opening (7) on its inner side, and is arranged between the guide rods (2) of the vehicle headrest. The universal retainer (1) consists of a housing (40), actuation element (50) and stopping element. According to the invention, the housing (40) comprises a first opening (41), a second opening (42) and a slotted guide (43), each designed on either of its two opposing sides. The actuation element (50) comprises a frame (51) on which a second slotted guide (52) and a securing pin (53) are designed on either side, lying opposite one another. The actuation element (50) is mounted by means of this securing pin (53) so as to pivot in said housing (40). The universal retainer (1) has only one stopping element (60), which comprises two lateral arms (61) each with a pin-like end section (62). The pin-like end sections (62) on the two lateral arms (61) are arranged both in the first slotted guides (43) of the housing (40) and in the second slotted guides (52) of the actuation element (50). |
