USE OF A COMPOSITION MADE FROM MARINE MICROALGAE EXTRACTS FOR TREATING ACNE

The present invention relates to the use of a dermocosmetic or pharmaceutical composition including, as active agents, an extract or a combination of microalgae extracts for the prevention and topical treatment of the dermal conditions of skin affected by acne. The active agents of said formula have anti-bacterial activity against the bacteria which are responsible for acne, in particular Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis, anti-oxidising activity, anti-inflammatory activity and healing activity by stimulating the regeneration of the fibroblast cells of the skin. The selected microalgae species can be species of the Nannochloropsis, Dunaliella and Isochrysis genera.
