PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient purification of a saturated hydrocarbon even in a gasoline engine having a low exhaust gas temperature and enable efficient oxidation purification of an aromatic hydrocarbon and an unsaturated hydrocarbon other than the saturated hydrocarbon.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification catalyst device 1 includes a catalyst 10 produced by forming a catalyst layer on a carrier base material. The catalyst 10 comprises Pt, Pd and Rh as a catalyst metal. Pt as a catalyst metal is supported on a silica-almina as a support material. The Pt-supported silica-alumina produced by supporting Pt on a silica-alumina is contained in the catalyst layer which firstly comes in contact with an exhaust gas. |
