摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of replacement components required for recovery after fall of a knob member subjected to an impact load.SOLUTION: An operation device comprises: a rotary knob 40 projecting toward the front side of an instrument panel 11 as viewed from an occupant and operated by the occupant; and a main gear 30 with the rotary knob 40 fitted in a predetermined position. The main gear 30 has a front-side regulating part 34, a deep-side regulating part (front-side end face 33a), and a contact part (flange 32). The front-side regulating part 34 regulates movement of the rotary knob 40 from the predetermined position to the front side. The depth-side regulating part regulates movement of the rotary knob 40 from the predetermined position to the depth side. When the rotary knob 40 is subjected to an impact load of a degree that cannot be regulated by the depth-side regulating part, the contact part comes into contact with the rotary knob 40 that has fallen from the predetermined position. An amount L3 by which the rotary knob 40 falls is set as a value that prevents contact of the rotary knob 40 that has fallen, with the front-side regulating part 34.
