PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an inspection operation without excessively raising a car, when inspecting a brake configured in double of an elevator, and to prevent unintended brake release at inspection time. ! SOLUTION: In a brake control device 250 for maintenance inspection, two pieces of brakes 230x, 231y brake an electric motor 102 for driving a car 103. At the maintenance inspection time, brake coils 232x, 233y release a brake operation of the brakes. At the brake coils, the brake control device 250 is connected. The brake control device includes: constantly-closed contact points 213x, 214y connected to the brakes respectively; a brake safety circuit 224 connected to the constantly-closed contact points and operating the brake coils; a connection part 207 connected to the brake safety circuit and switching first and second circuits which the safety circuit has; and brake release means 212 detachably connected to the connection part and instructing the switching of the connection part. !
