A coil-end-molding device (20) brings first and second molding dies (21, 22) towards each other and forms three flatwise bent sections (f1-f3), one (f1) of which is bent in an opposite direction to the remainder (f2, f3), on a lead wire part (11) extending out of one end of a coil (10). The second molding die (22), which is a moving die, has a clearance part (230). While the flatwise bent sections (f1, f2), from amongst the three flatwise bent sections (f1-f3), that are nearer the base end than the flatwise bent section (f3) nearest the free end are being formed on the lead wire part (11), the clearance part (230) loses contact with the lead wire part (11) and prevents a portion that bends along the flatwise direction on the side of the free end of the lead wire part (11) from being restrained.
