The invention relates to an apparatus for cutting elastic coatings, in particular floor coatings, such as luxury vinyl tiles, and/or coatings made of textiles, cork, caoutchouc, rubber, linoleum, vinyl, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and/or a different plastic, wherein the apparatus has a base (1) with a supporting surface (2) for supporting the coating (3) to be cut and a blade (4) with a cutting edge (5) for cutting the coating (3), wherein the blade (4) is movable towards the base (1) with the cutting edge (5) to the fore along a guide device (8), which is connected to the base by way of a bracket (10). According to the invention, it is provided that the apparatus is embodied in such a manner that the coating (3) can protrude beyond the outer side of the bracket (10), preferably on both sides, during cutting as an extension of the cutting edge (5). |
