COLUMNAR DATABASE PROCESSING METHOD AND PROCESSING DEVICE

A columnar database processing method. A columnar database comprises a marker column and more than one data column; the data column stores specific data in a columnar storage manner, and a value of a marker bit in each line of the marker column is used to indicate the validity of data in the same line as the marker bit. The method comprises: receiving a query request sent by an application program, the query request comprising a query condition; performing query in more than one data column according to a marker column and the query condition, to obtain a query result which satisfies the query result and of which the marker bit in the marker column indicates that data is valid; and sending the query result to the application program. In this manner, because the columnar database stores data in a columnar storage manner, the query efficiency is significantly improved.
