A measuring method for screening sunlight protection function is provided to measure and evaluate the level of sunlight screening subjectively different from the previous evaluation method by measuring the changes from one or more of subject material by the expression of antimicrobial peptides and protein production of S-nitrosylation. In addition, compared to providing sunlight screening index for measurement, 400-500 nm wavelength of blue/violet light protect ability can be determined for providing the evaluation for sub divisive sunlight screening effect. Moreover, the extent of screening sunlight can be represented by an index by using the same.
