PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device capable of preventing getting damage due to mechanical shocks etc. during transport. ! SOLUTION: The thin display device includes: a display unit: and an external case for storing the display unit. When the thin display device is stored in a packing carton, upper corner part areas and lower corner part areas of the external case are held by cushioning materials for upper corner parts and cushioning materials for lower corner parts, which are separately disposed at the upper and lower corners of the packing carton. A frame 5 of the display unit 7 has reinforcing first bead parts 5a on the longer periphery edge in a part which is held by the cushioning materials 22 of the corner parts, and a reinforcing second bead part 5b is disposed being separated from the first bead part 5a between the first bead parts 5a. !
