摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method of estimating combustion phases with respect to all engine cylinders by acquiring combustion phase information on other engine cylinders, to which no combustion pressure sensor is installed, through a combustion pressure signal detected from a combustion pressure sensor, which is installed to one engine cylinder, and another engine specific factor.SOLUTION: A method of estimating combustion phases with respect to all engine cylinders includes the steps of: calculating the maximum engine angular acceleration point in an explosion stroke in each engine cylinder; detecting a combustion phase of the engine cylinder installed with a combustion pressure sensor; calculating a time difference between the combustion phase and the maximum engine angular acceleration point of the engine cylinder installed with the combustion pressure sensor; and estimating combustion phases of the engine cylinders installed with no combustion pressure sensor by using the time difference of the engine cylinder installed with the combustion pressure sensor and the maximum engine angular acceleration points of the engine cylinders installed with no combustion pressure sensor.</p>
