The objective of the present invention is to provide a bag-making packaging machine and a bag-making packaging system that are able to easily adjust bag thickness in a short period of time. The bag-making packaging machine (1) is provided with sealing jaws (54, 74), air-removing members (56, 76), an air cylinder (56b), and a control unit. The sealing jaws (54, 74) form a bag (B) by laterally sealing a tubular film (Fc) in the widthwise direction. The air-removing members (56, 76) are contacted to the bag (B) immediately before the top end is laterally sealed, and evacuate air from the bag (B) in the upwards direction. The air cylinder (56b) moves the air-removing members (56, 76) and switches the position of the air-removing members (56, 76) with respect to the sealing jaws (54, 74) between at least a first position and a second position. The control unit adjusts the amount of evacuation of air from the bag (B) by altering the timing of the switching between the first position and second position during the time period immediately before starting the lateral sealing operation by the sealing jaws (54, 74). |
