PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device which inhibits a lumbar part of an occupant from moving to the front side during a collision without deteriorating the capability of getting on/off a seat cushion part. ! SOLUTION: An occupant protection device includes an auxiliary seat having a seat cushion part 1 installed on a vehicle seat including a seat belt for retraining an occupant and is formed so as to restrain at least a front surface of a lumbar part of the occupant seated on the auxiliary seat with the seat belt. The occupant protection device is provided with a push-up mechanism 8 which pushes up a front portion of the seat cushion part 1 as an inertia force acts on the occupant seated on the auxiliary seat in a forward direction and the seat cushion part 1 is moved to the front side. !
