PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage or the like of a movable part caused by a laser light source, especially a phosphor-using part affected easily by high heat.SOLUTION: A device includes: a blue LD 20; an input part 11 for inputting an image signal; projection systems 12 to 17 for exciting fluorescence G by irradiating a phosphor 25 of a fluorescent wheel 25 with light from the LD 20, forming a light image corresponding to an image signal inputted by the input part 11 by using the excited fluorescence G, and projecting the formed light image; a marker sensor 28 for detecting rotational speed of the fluorescent wheel 25; a PWM circuit 29 for converting detection result by the marker sensor 28 into an operation power source of the LD 20; and a projection light-driving part 30 having a DC/DC converter 30a for blocking power supply to the LD 20, when the operation power source of the LD 20 is out of a condition set beforehand. |
