<p>The present invention is maritime safety equipment. The present invention makes it possible for a single person to stop a water leak from inside the boat. The simplicity of use combined with the rapidity of implementation enables effective intervention in a major maritime risk, that is, the leak that can be brought about by encountering all the numerous floating objects in the sea, or by collision, grounding, etc…. The device acts like a closed umbrella that is passed through the hull of the boat from the inside. The dome of the umbrella is opened on the outside and adheres to the hull. The device is pulled from the inside of the boat by the shaft and attached onto the inner wall by means of flanges screwed or bolted onto the shaft. The diameter of the dome can be of different sizes depending on the size of the boat. The end of the shaft at the top of the dome is reinforced by a tapered portion enabling passage through the hull.</p> |
