<p>The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for determining whether a user equipment (UE) enters wireless fidelity (wifi) coverage. The method comprises the following steps: (S101) a UE receiving neighboring cell information sent by an access device; and (S102) the UE determining whether the UE enters wifi coverage according to the neighboring cell information. Therefore, it is not required to integrate an uplink detector in each wifi access point (AP), thereby reducing construction cost of a network system; and it is not required to always start a wifi function detection module to detect whether a UE enters wifi coverage, thereby reducing power consumption.</p> |
