<p>A compressor (100) is provided with an electric motor (1) and a compression mechanism (103) which is driven by the electric motor (1). The electric motor includes a stator (3) and a rotor (5) which is rotatably provided facing the stator (3). The air gap (15) between the stator (3) and the rotor (5) is nonuniform circumferentially. The rotor may be configured either in such a manner that the outer peripheral shape of the rotor is point-symmetrical and the center (EC) of the point-symmetrical outer peripheral shape and the center (RC) of rotation of the rotor are offset from each other or in such a manner that the outer peripheral shape of the rotor is not point-symmetrical.</p> |
