PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for supporting adaptive channel state information (CSI) feedback rate in multi-user communication systems.SOLUTION: A method comprises: receiving 902 one or more training sequences from one or more apparatuses; estimating 904 one or more channels associated with the one or more apparatuses on the basis of the one or more training sequences; and calculating 906 a metric for each of the apparatuses on the basis at least of a value associated with each of the estimated channels.
