Class 9(1) A connector for joining low-energy detonating fuze cord such as that described in Specification 815,532 comprises a rigid tube 1 open at both ends and partitioned by a short length of tubing 2 filled with a sensitive detonating explosive 3. The tubing 2 is secured by crimping the tube 1. The explosive may be lead azide, PETN, nitromannite or tetryl. The connector is secured to inserted cord ends by crimping. The explosive 3 has a diameter of at least 0.03 inches.
