A power converter (5) of this power conversion device (2) is provided with at least one of the following functional modules: a functional module (7_1) which is a combination of a rectifier unit (15_1) which rectifies an externally supplied AC voltage and an inverter unit (11_1) which converts DC voltage to AC voltage; a functional module (7_2) which is a combination of a converter unit (13_2) which converts AC voltage to DC voltage and an inverter unit (11_2) which converts to an AC voltage the DC voltage converted by the converter unit (13_2); and a functional module (7_3) which comprises inverter units (11_3, 11_4) which convert DC voltage to AC voltage. The functional modules (7_1-7_3) have a cooler (6) for cooling semiconductor components. |
