PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passage formation component which cleans an entire periphery of a shank part and effectively removes foreign objects adhering to the shank part, and to provide a machining center using the passage formation component and a cleaning method of the shank part of a tool. ! SOLUTION: A passage formation component 1 is disposed at the deeper side relative to an attachment hole 21 to which a tapered shank part 51 in a rotary tool 5 serving as a tool is attached and supplies a fluid W to a tool side passage 53 provided in the rotary tool 5. The passage formation component 1 includes: a spiral passage 24 which allows the fluid W to spirally pass; and a round hole shape passage 32 in which a center thereof is positioned at a center of a spiral shape of the spiral passage 24, the round hole shape passage 32 located at the downstream side of the spiral passage 24 and formed into a round hole shape. !
