<p>The invention relates to laser technology. A pulsed fiber laser having a variable configuration supporting the polarization of ring resonator radiation contains a pump source, and a spectral information module, the signal input of which is connected to a fiber isolator and the signal output of which is connected to an active fiber, the other end of which fiber is connected to a fiber coupler. The isolator and the coupler are connected, by the other ends thereof, to the inputs of two fiber-optic switches operating using a 1xN scheme, where N is the number of outputs, and each switch, under the control of electronic signals, commutates input optical signals to certain outputs to which fiber-optic elements are connected, providing for an active or a passive or a hybrid (active/passive) synchronization of laser radiation modes or for the modulation of the quality factor of a laser resonator. The technical result consists in allowing for generating a wide range of pulses having various lengths, energy levels and repetition frequencies.</p> |
