LIGHT EMITTING DIODE PACKAGE AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME AS LIGHT SOURCE

A display device includes a display panel and a back light assembly. The back light assembly includes a light emitting diode package which generates light and a light guide plate which guides the light to the display panel. The light emitting diode package includes a housing and light emitting diodes. The housing has a light reflection property. The housing includes a bottom part, a sidewall part combined with the bottom part, and a cover part which is combined with the side part and covers the bottom part. The light emitting diodes are formed in the housing and emit light with different colors. Also, the sidewall part facing the light guide plate is partly removed to define a light emitting part which emits light to the light emitting diode package. The light emitting diodes are arranged from the light emitting part to part of the sidewall part which faces the light emitting part.
