The invention relates to an orally administered pharmaceutical nitazoxanide composition used for the treatment of intestinal parasitic infections, in the form of granules for suspension, in which said composition contains: (a) an immediate release fraction formed by uncoated granules or non-granular powder of nitazoxanide, and (b) a pH-dependent release fraction formed by granules of nitazoxanide coated with one or more polymers having a pH-dependent solubility. |
