PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel melanogenesis inhibiting agent excellent in stability and safety which contributes to temporal stability of ascorbic acids which are heavily used to a whitening cosmetic and cosmetic drink and food, has moisturizing effect, and has whitening affect for effectively inhibiting and improving stains, freckles, dullness, or skin pigmentation such as skin blackening caused by ultraviolet exposure, and to provide application means thereof.SOLUTION: A melanogenesis inhibiting agent, a moisturizer, a whitening cosmetic, and cosmetic food and drink comprise at least one kind selected from elenolic acid, elenolic acid glucoside, and salt thereof. Further, the whitening cosmetic and the cosmetic food and drink comprising ascorbic acids are also provided. |
