<p>The present invention relates to a POI searching method for a navigation system and, more specifically, relates to the POI searching method for a navigation system which searches all points of interest (POI) existing in a vicinity of a vehicle driving path more accurately, and displays the same on a screen. To achieve this, the present invention provides the POI searching method for a navigation system comprising the steps of: determining whether or not a sub-link is connected to a reference link which is the current driving path; determining, if there exists a sub-link, whether or not the POI position coordinates match an existing link and the sub-link; generating, if the POI position coordinates match each of the links, a matched POI list; generating, if the POI position coordinates do not match each of the links, novel POI matching coordinates by connecting the unmatched POI position coordinates to a nearest link; and generating an integrated POI list including a POI corresponding to the novel matching coordinates.</p> |
