FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering. The method of protecting compressor blades of a gas-turbine engine made of titanium alloys from abrasive dust erosion includes ion implantation of the blade airfoil followed by deposition of an ion-plasma multilayer coating in the form of a given number of pairs of layers consisting a layer of titanium with a metal and a layer of compounds of titanium with a metal and nitrogen. Before ion implantation, the surface undergoes electrolyte-plasma polishing by applying to the processed component electrical potential of 310-360 V and using as the electrolyte 2-7% aqueous solution of a mixture of NHF and KF. Ion implantation is carried with N, Y, Yb, V ions or a combination thereof. The metal used in the layers of titanium with a metal and layers of compounds of titanium with a metal and nitrogen is vanadium. The layer of titanium with vanadium is deposited with a thickness of 0.2-0.3 mcm, and the layer of compounds of titanium with vanadium and nitrogen has a thickness of 1.1-2.2 mcm, with total thickness of the multilayer coating of 5.0-7.0 mcm.EFFECT: protecting the airfoil of working compressor blades of a gas-turbine engine made of titanium alloys from erosion while simultaneously increasing endurance and cyclic life.19 cl, 1 ex |
