<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user terminal to reliably receive short message service (SMS) mail transmitted from a service provider to the user terminal. <P>SOLUTION: Concerning a SMS mail transmission system and method, a gateway server transmits SMS mail with a telephone number of a user terminal as a transmission destination, determines the transmission result of the SMS mail, periodically reads a SMS database with information related to the transmission of SMS mail recorded therein, and records the telephone number of a user terminal determined to fail transmission in the SMS database. Each provider terminal periodically reads the SMS database under the control of an application installed in the provider terminal, and transmits SMS mail by defining a telephone number determined to fail transmission as a transmission destination when the telephone number is stored in the SMS database. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
