FIELD: food industry.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to domestic animal fodder compositions. The dog fodder composition contains an agent causing a sense of fullness in an amount efficient for modulation of expression of either or several of the following: NPY hormone, its receptors, leptin and its receptors. The agent causing a sense of fullness is chosen from EPA and luteolin; the dose of EPA and luteolin which is provided by the composition for causing a sense of fullness with a dog with weight from 2 to 60 kg is 6 - 900 mg of EPA and 0.0003 - 0.1 mg of luteolin. The fodder composition may additionally include carbohydrates, proteins, fats, food fibres, vitamins and mineral substances. The method for causing a sense of fullness with a dog and the method for regulation of the quantity of fodder consumption by the dog involves the fodder composition feeding to the dog; such composition contains an agent causing a sense of fullness in an amount efficient for modulation of expression of either or several of the following: NPY hormone, its receptors, leptin and its receptors; the agent causing a sense of fullness is chosen from EPA and luteolin.EFFECT: inventions group implementation ensures stimulation of discontinuation of fodder consumption by animals after consumption of the required quantities of nutritional substances causing a sense of fullness.15 cl, 4 tbl |
