<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internally illuminated display body having excellent maintainability and high fastness. <P>SOLUTION: The internally illuminated display body comprises: a top frame 2; a bottom frame 3; a back plate 4; side plates 11; a display surface 6; and a light emission unit 30 including a light-emitting part 9, a light reflection plate 10, and a power supply 45. The side plates 11 are detachably attached to both side ends of the top frame 2, the bottom frame 3 and the back plate 4. The light emission unit 30 is provided with the light-emitting part 9, the light reflection plate 10, and the power supply 45 on one side face or both side faces of the unit 30, and has a support plate 43 arranged almost parallel to the display surface 6, and is respectively provided with two retention grooves 47 extending between the side plates 11, at two positions opposite to each other in the inner peripheral sides of the top and bottom frames 2 and 3.
