<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for producing a modified natural rubber, which can introduce a functional group and the like without spoiling properties intrinsic to a natural rubber. <P>SOLUTION: A halogenated natural rubber having at least one of structural units represented by formulae (1) and (2) is obtained by halogenating a part of double bonds in an isoprene unit in a natural rubber by a halogenated hydrogen, in a natural rubber latex. The modified natural rubber is obtained by substituting a part of halogen groups of the halogenated natural rubber with another substituent such as an amino group.
