<p>The present invention provides a serial arc testing device which produces a carbonized path by applying a high voltage power source to both ends of a testing cable sample; confirms testing current depending on the on/off of a toggle switch and an arc circuit breaker; generates an arc in the testing cable sample which is serially connected with a load; and verifies durability of an arc preventing device. To achieve the purpose, the present invention related with the serial arc testing device including an earth leakage breaker installed on a power entrance, and an arc circuit breaker which is turned on/off for an arc test includes a switch which is turned on/off by being connected to both ends of the testing cable sample to produce the carbonized path in the testing cable sample and generate an arc in the testing cable sample after production of the carbonized path. The switch is composed of toggle switches (S1, S2, S2′, S3, S4, L1, T1) and magnet switches (S1, S2, S2′, S3, S4, L1, L1′, T1, T1′) which are turned on/off by being connected with the toggle switches. The present invention includes a transformer in which a primary side and a secondary side are connected with the switch. The earth leakage breaker is turned on and the toggle switch of T1 is turned on, and then the magnet switches of T1 and T2 in which the primary side and the secondary side of the transformer are connected are turned on. Therefore, the carbonized path is produced by applying the high voltage power source to both ends of the testing cable sample. The testing current can be confirmed depending on the on/off of the toggle switch and the arc circuit breaker. The arc is generated in the testing cable sample which is serially connected with the load.</p> |
