The present invention relates to naphthalimide amine derivatives, a manufacturing method thereof, and a detecting method of carbon dioxide using the same. According to the present invention, the naphthalimide amine derivatives with a cholesteryl group and a carbamate ester group induced can be formed as a thermally stable gel. Phenomena with a hypersensitive reaction to carbon dioxide are represented by a colorimeter, a fluorescent change, or a sol-gel change, thereby being useful for detecting carbon dioxide.
