<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector assembly capable of efficiently dissipating heat. <P>SOLUTION: In a connector assembly 1 which includes an optical cable 3 and a connector module 5, the optical cable 3 has a coated optical fiber 7, an outer coating 9 provided around the coated optical fiber 7, and a metal braid 13 which is provided between the coated optical fiber 7 and the outer coating 9 and has high thermal conductivity; the connector module 5 has a housing 20 for defining a housing space S, and a circuit substrate 24 that is housed in the housing space S of the housing 20 and is mounted with a light receiving/emitting element 52 to which the coated optical fiber 7 is connected; and the metal braid 13 of the optical cable 3 and the circuit substrate 24 of the connector module 5 are thermally connected by a heat conductor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
