<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sintered ore that inexpensively and economically controls the amount of NOx generated when sintering without reducing the production of the sintered ore. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing sintered ore, iron ore, solid fuel, and an auxiliary material are subjected to pseudo-granulation in granulating machines 18 and 19, then the pseudo-granulated material is sintered in a sintering machine 20. As the solid fuel, coated solid fuel which is coated with a coating material including a calcium component and uncoated solid fuel are used. When the amount of NOx generated when sintering the pseudo-granulated material exceeds a predetermined reference value of NOx, the thickness of the coating layer of the coating material which coated the coated solid fuel is increased.
