<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the posture of a second housing 2 in a process to draw the second housing 2 toward a first housing 1 in a fully open state, and also to fixedly hold the posture of the second housing 2 with respect to the first housing 1 in the closest state of the second housing 2 to the first housing 1 concerning a portable electronic apparatus where the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are mutually connected via a connection member and a fully closed state and a fully open state are selectively set. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic apparatus related to the present invention includes reception surfaces 33 and slide surfaces 29 which are formed in the opposing parts of a connection member and a second housing 2 and are mutually brought into slide contact in a first half of a process where both housings are shifted from the most separated state to the most closest state in a fully open state.
