A method for cultivating a plant (13), wherein a substrate is formed, in which substrate a seed or a root of the plant (13) is placed, which substrate containing the seed or the plant is placed in a holder (11) for the plant (13) to grow, wherein at least two substrate parts (2) are formed of a fibre mixture and an adhesive such that the substrate parts (2) form fixed units, with the seed or a root of the plant (13) being placed between said at least two substrate parts (2) before the substrate containing the seed or the plant (13) is placed in the holder (11), wherein the substrate parts (2) and the seed or the root of the plant (13) are placed in a basket (12), which basket (12) holds the substrate parts (2) together, before the substrate containing the seed or the root of the plant (13) is placed in the holder (11). |
