The tool positioning and measuring device has a camera device (12) that is provided to gather the information from the tool unit. An arithmetic and logic unit (14) is provided to generate a data record of a part of the tool unit by the information. The digital processing unit (16) is provided to make the data record in digital form for machine processing.
