<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal construction method for a passenger conveyor capable of shortening a construction period by reducing prior works to make a space for installing a newly provided truss in an existing truss and suppressing a work space required for a renewal construction. <P>SOLUTION: In this renewal construction method, the newly provided truss 50 is installed in the existing truss 2 of the passenger conveyor. In the renewal construction method, an upper stage guide rail 13 for guiding a step roller of a step which travels on a going path for conveying a person is eliminated from the existing truss 2, a narrow upper portion truss 50 mounted with a new stage guide rail 13 is provided in a frame 52 narrower than the existing truss 2, and the narrow upper portion truss 50 is newly provided above a lateral beam 23 of the existing truss 2 mounted with the upper stage guide rail 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
