<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid content separation method with which the solid content of a suspension can be agglomerated at a temperature lower than the prior arts. <P>SOLUTION: The solid content separation method of a suspension includes adding cationic temperature-sensitive polymers and anionic temperature-sensitive polymers which change from hydrophilicity to hydrophobicity with a transition temperature as a boundary to the suspension and mixing them, and agglomerating and separating a solid content. In the solid content separation method, the ratio of constituent units having hydrophobic groups occupied in all the constituent units in the anionic temperature-sensitive polymers is higher than that in the cationic temperature-sensitive polymers, and the ratio of constituent units having hydrophobic groups occupied in all the constituent units in the cationic temperature-sensitive polymers is 3 mol% or less. The cationic temperature-sensitive polymers and the anionic temperature-sensitive polymers are added to and mixed with the suspension at a hydrophilic temperature zone lower than a transition temperature before mixing them. Thereafter, the temperature of the suspension is set to a hydrophobic temperature zone equal to or higher than the transition temperature after mixing the cationic temperature-sensitive polymers and the anionic temperature-sensitive polymers, and the solid content is separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
